About Troy Shields, MD

Dr. Shields is a native Nevadan growing up in Minden, NV and attending Douglas High School. He attended UNR for his undergraduate degree and the University of Nevada School of Medicine for his Medical Degree. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA and his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, CA, where he assisted as a team physician for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Dr. Shields is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine including shoulder and knee arthroscopy, as well as primary and revision shoulder arthroplasty and reconstruction.
