Medications can ONLY be prescribed by a physician. If you require a prescription refill, please contact your pharmacy FIRST and they will contact our office. Medications are NOT refilled over weekends, evenings or holidays.
As of October 1, 2014 federal regulations require that all prescriptions for narcotic pain medications be in writing. We are no longer able to call-in new prescriptions for narcotic pain medications or authorize refills over the phone. Please anticipate weekend, evening, and holiday medication needs by initiating your request by noon Monday through Friday.
The Reno Orthopedic Clinic provides patient care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It would be greatly appreciated if you would complete routine patient care activities during regular business hours, as our on-call physicians are frequently called upon for emergency surgery or hospital related business. Due to emergencies, you may occasionally be seen by one of your doctor’s partners. Be assured your care will be reviewed by your regular physician and no break in continuity of your care will occur.
In order to provide continuity of care and accurate record keeping, Nevada state law allows medical records, including radiological files, to become the property of the institution taking them and/or the physician ordering them. We are happy to arrange copies and mailings in the event you need the records sent elsewhere.
Should you require your medical records, you must provide our office with a written, signed and dated authorization stating to whom this information should be released. Please allow five to ten working days for chart retrieval and copy services.
Nondiscrimination & Accessibility
The Reno Orthopedic Clinic provides interpretation services as well as translation services via telephone at no charge. Patients may also bring a translator.
