Dr. Walker, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans. He completed his orthopedic residency at the Mayo Clinic. During his residency, he also completed a Master’s of Science in Orthopedics at the Mayo Graduate School. Dr. Walker completed his orthopedic trauma fellowship at the Reno Orthopedic Clinic before accepting a full time position here in August 2015.
Dr. Walker’s practice focuses on the treatment of fractures and deformity, as well as lower extremity joint replacement. Using the most advanced orthopedic treatment techniques, Dr. Walker provides care for acute fractures including pelvic and acetabular fractures, as well as nonunions, deformity, malunions, surgical treatment of musculoskeletal infections, and hip and knee arthritis, particularly post-traumatic arthritis.
Dr. Walker currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and mentors both medical and college students. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the Nevada Orthopaedic Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

The Reno Orthopedic Clinic has been caring for trauma patients and treating fractures for nearly 50 years.
