About Renny Uppal, MD

Dr. Renny Uppal received his medical degree from and did his residency at Michigan State University. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Florida Orthopedic Institute. He has been practicing at the Reno Orthopedic Center since 2005.

He is subspecialty trained in sports medicine.

Dr. Uppal is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is one of a few physicians in Nevada who has earned his Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine from The American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also an active member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.

What an amazing experience. The way they have the facility set up is pretty cool. They are incredibly efficient, kind, and compassionate. Dr Uppal is very thoughtful, insightful, and seeks to help find the cause of your pain. Couldn’t ask for more. Plus was able to grab a latte at the cafe on the way out!

Dr. Uppal is the consummate professional. Caring, thorough and effective. He repaired my shoulder after a bad fall and has been treating my knee for a couple of years now, avoiding surgery, which has been my goal, and it is successful. I highly recommend him and the ROC team!
