About Lisa Kafchinski, MD
Dr. Kafchinski is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in musculoskeletal oncology. Dr. Kafchinski's research interests include patient outcomes after limb-salvage procedures for oncologic diagnoses, adolescent and young adult oncology, and sarcoma survivorship.
Dr. Kafchinski graduated from Georgetown University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004, graduating summa cum laude and then earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2010. Dr. Kafchinski completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Utah. Following her orthopaedic surgical residency, she completed an additional year of subspecialty training in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Kafchinski is a fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and a member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS). Prior to joining ROC, she worked as at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas and most recently at University of Alabama at Birmingham and Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama.
