About Renny Uppal, MD

Dr. Renny Uppal received his medical degree from and did his residency at Michigan State University. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Florida Orthopedic Institute. He has been practicing at the Reno Orthopedic Center since 2005.

He is subspecialty trained in sports medicine.

Dr. Uppal is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is one of a few physicians in Nevada who has earned his Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine from The American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also an active member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Renny Uppal is very honest, and I like how helpful he is with information. He did surgery on my broken leg and everything he told me was true of when I would be cured, and how long. I’m very happy with how my surgery came out and I recommended him to 2 other people, and they were satisfied like me with his work.

Dr. Uppal has been my orthopedic doctor since 2017. To me, he is the best in his field. Dr Uppal has performed a meniscus repair and a rotator cuff repair. Both surgeries with great results. I never hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.
